Rathcoffey 10k 2025 (8th Feb)
The annual Rathcoffey 10k was held on Saturday morning 8th February when dry cool conditions with a stiff breeze on the home stretch back to the village greeted the 312 athletes that took part, among them a quartet from Mullingar Harriers. The race started and finished in the grounds of the GAA club. Runners were brought on a looped circuit through the village and out into the countryside and the local roads, resplendent with the new 60 kph speed limit signs. Dan Morris was well in contention in the opening half of the race before having to settle in behind the front runners. He was satisfied with eighth place in a time of 33:18. Next home was Kedagh Geoghegan in 35:16, followed by Enda O’Carolan who was pleased with his time of 36:26, while Enda Seery set a new best time for the distance, easing home in 37:47 [MO’S].
