Trim AC “Braveheart” 5k 2019 (14th June)

With a renowned friendly atmosphere and legendary post-race hospitality and terrific organisation by Trim AC, the “Braveheart” 5k continues to grow in popularity and on Friday evening 14th June the race attracted a very big entry of 839 who ran the part-grass, part-path route around the Porchfields in Trim along the banks of the River Boyne in sight of Trim Castle and Yellow Steeple in lovely conditions for running. A small number from Mullingar Harriers took part this year, led home by Gerard Gavin finishing well up in 18:27 to take second prize in his master category, followed by Declan Costello (22:57) and Linda Cunningham (24:06), both happy with their races and finish times.
