Monaghan 10 Mile 2022 (7th Aug)

Race headquarters for the Monaghan 10 Mile on Sunday morning 7th August was just outside the Courthouse in “The Diamond”, right in the middle of Monaghan Town. Deciding to take their marathon training on a road trip to somewhere different, Mary Stuart and Joan Hickson joined nearly 400 others, but with rolling hills on a difficult course in very warm conditions, both decided it was not a day to race full on, so they ran at a marathon pace tempo effort, which was still good enough to see Mary finish in 1:09:44 to take second prize in her master category, and Joan finishing well up in 1:21:59.
