Crookstown-Millview AC Open T&F Sports 2017 (9th Apr)

Looking for some early-season outdoor competition, a small group of the Club’s youngsters went to Kildare on Sunday 9th April to take part in the Crookstown-Millview AC Open Sports. Eager to make the most of the day, everyone took part in several events, including some they wouldn’t normally try such as long jump. Shannon Liston competed well in the 100m u/14, finishing out of the medals, but made up for it with a good win in the u/14 shot putt. Conor Liston, Jamie Wallace and Charlie Foy finished 1st, 2nd and 4th in both the 80m and the 600m u/11 and they also competed in the u/11 long jump, which was won by Conor, with Jamie and Charlie enjoying the competition even though they finished out of the medals. Aimee Wallace made it double gold in the 80m and 600m u/12 and rounded off the day by making up a relay team with Conor, Jamie and Charlie, finishing just out of the medals in 4th place. Well done to everyone for representing the Club so well.
