Celtic u/23 Cross Country International 2019 (19th Jan)

Victory for Cormac Dalton in Celtic Cross Country International

Well done to Cormac Dalton on a great win at the Celtic u/23 Cross Country International held at the Billy Neill Centre of Excellence in Belfast on Saturday afternoon 19th January. The race was run in conjunction with the IAAF Northern Ireland Cross Country International 10,000m where Cormac was in contention throughout and produced an excellent finish to place 15th overall and comfortably win the u/23 race. As a mark of how good a race Cormac had, he was just three seconds behind Liam Brady, the first finisher on the Irish senior team. Cormac led the Irish u/23 team to a convincing victory over Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. This augurs very well for the year ahead for Cormac who is going from strength to strength and has made a seamless transition from Junior to Senior athletics.
