Battle of Clontarf 10 Mile (incorp. Leinster 10 Mile) 2017 (17th Apr)
The Leinster 10 Mile Championship was run in conjunction with the “Battle of Clontarf 10”, which was held in St. Anne’s Park, Raheny on Easter Monday 17th April. With expert organisation as always by Raheny Shamrocks, the event attracted just over 400 entrants and the cool, cloudy and very light wind made for excellent running conditions. Finishing well up in 26th place overall was Pauric Brady, just outside the hour mark with 60:49 to finish eighth in his master category, followed by Colm Walsh in 36th place in a time of 62:03 to also place eighth in his master category. Mullingar got in the medals thanks to Geraldine Walsh who won her master category and Des Walsh who placed second in his category to win Championship medals. Well done all four for representing the Club in this Leinster Championship.
